We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing to support our CCRM Fertility business. The Director of Nursing must demonstrate advanced knowledge in all aspects of nursing care related to the clinic or surgery center patients and should function independently in all areas. This position functions autonomously as it relates to specific patient care needs and concerns, nursing education and training, and clinical or surgical workflows. This position is responsible for the supervision and management of all nursing staff and collaborate with the Practice Administrator, Medical Director(s), and other department managers regarding problem resolution, operations, and overall facility management. The Director of Nursing has full accountability for patient care management in the CCRM facility. This position reports to the Practice Administrator Responsibilities Leads performance improvement activities, maintains ongoing clinical and surgical knowledge through internal/external training programs. Develops and coordinates clinical and surgical staffing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing: weekend, holidays, and after-hours ON Call service. Helps to set goals for clinical and surgical staff, administers performance reviews and motivates staff to accomplish goals. Handle patient issues/complaints in a timely, calm, and professional manner. Assists with ensuring current contracts are in place with all vendors and anesthesia. Assist in overseeing the daily operations and workflow in the clinic and surgery center, be a resource for staff, physicians, and other disciplines. Assist with interviewing, hiring, counseling, disciplining, and terminating employees as necessary in collaboration with Practice Administrator. Assists the Surgery Center Supervisor/Lead with regulatory compliance related to AAAASF or AAAHC as well as the State Department of Health standards related to the surgery center and administration of anesthesia in the surgical setting. Monitor and assign all annual compliance training, ACLS and BLS training. Complete all necessary drills, i.e., Fire, Code and MH. Direct the scheduling of surgical procedures in conjunction with the Surgery Center Supervisor/Lead and IVF lab staff. Serve as a liaison with MDs, anesthesia providers, other departments, and disciplines to improve patient care. Direct the purchasing of all supplies, medication, and surgical equipment. Ensures all surgical equipment is in working order and available for patient care at all times. Oversees the demonstration of new patient care equipment for purchase. Hold regular staff meetings. Create a focus of quality management and performance improvement. Participate in QI program, committees, and research as appropriate. Coordinates and oversees ongoing QI studies for all surgery center staff. Develops, maintains, updates, and implements all surgery center policies and procedures to ensure high quality patient care is provided to all surgery center patients. Coordinates the privileging, credentialing and ongoing re-credentialing of all medical staff members, physicians, and other non-employee patient care providers in the surgery center. Alerts medical director to all situations requiring follow-up of these personnel by the medical director. Alerts medical director to a possible impaired provider immediately upon assessment of an unsafe provider. Reports incidents or adverse incidents to practice manager and CCRM management team. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Role: Facilitate and participate in new staff orientation. Participate with the Practice Manager in the interviewing, hiring, counseling and disciplinary/termination process. Participate in the evaluation process for staff. Ensure the U/S team maintains their AIUM accreditation. Provide counseling to the staff member/team regarding clinical or patient care issues and provide feedback to improve their performance. Develops and coordinates clinical and surgical staffing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing: weekend, holidays, and after-hours ON Call service. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required. Current State Registered Nurse license. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications. 5+ years of management experience at a manager or supervisor level is required. 2+ years of experience related to operating room nursing and post anesthesia care preferred. 2+ years of Infertility experience preferred. Compensation Minimum USD $155,000.00/Yr. Compensation Maximum USD $175,000.00/Yr.
