Overview Regional Sales Director, IL (Remote) – Fresh & Ready Foods (a member of Canteen). Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 + commissions. This role focuses on new business development for commissary sales across key channels, introducing a chef-crafted portfolio of ready-to-eat sandwiches, salads, wraps, entrées, snack packs, and box lunches to operators who can deploy at scale. Responsibilities Develop a territory plan to maximize net new revenue across priority and self-operated verticals (grocery, healthcare, education, convenience/retail, hospitality/resorts/casinos, airports/airlines). Execute full-cycle selling: targeted prospecting, discovery and needs analysis, solution design (pack size, assortment, shelf life), pricing, sampling/tastings, RFPs, contracting, launch, and post-launch optimization. Collaborate cross-functionally with Culinary, QA, Production, and Logistics to ensure specs and service levels align with food safety standards and operational capabilities. Build data-driven category stories—sell-through, margin, waste reduction, and labor savings—and present compelling business cases to multi-stakeholder buying teams. Maintain accurate CRM pipeline and forecasts; provide weekly KPI updates and quarterly business reviews. Represent the brand at regional industry events and trade shows; communicate sustainability and food safety commitments. Qualifications Self-motivated hunter with a track record of exceeding quota in foodservice, CPG, or fresh-prepared/grab-and-go sales. Experience converting self-operated prospects in healthcare, education, grocery & convenience chains, hospitality (resorts/casinos), or airport/airline concessions. Excellent communication, discovery, and presentation skills; consultative and solutions-oriented with high emotional intelligence for a self-operated client base. Ability to manage multi-site and multi-stakeholder deals with disciplined CRM usage. Operational fluency in pack sizes, shelf life, and logistics windows; understanding of QA/food safety standards in regulated environments.
