Salary: USD $90,000.00–$96,500.00 per year.

Overview

The Program Director will provide leadership in developing, planning, organizing, supervising staff, and directing activities associated with housing and support services in programs as assigned. They will build collaborative partnerships, establish multi‑agency agreements, supervise staff across programs, work with diverse stakeholders (advisory groups, nonprofit organizations, legislators, low‑income communities), and provide financial oversight, including developing, coordinating, and managing budgets. The Program Director must demonstrate a basic understanding of accounting principles and sound fiscal judgment to support the organization’s contract compliance. They must prioritize and balance multiple tasks concurrently, work collaboratively, and meet tight deadlines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversight of assigned programs, staff, and program compliance.
  • Manage and analyze financial information for assigned programs, including revenues and expenditures, to ensure all operations are within budget.
  • Communicate (verbally and in writing) financial and policy program information.
  • Demonstrate cultural humility and offer professional support to staff members.
  • Collaboratively work in diverse settings across assigned programs.
  • Collect required information and maintain detailed records for assigned programs.
  • Analyze and summarize data to prepare and deliver reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, LCSW preferred, or related human services field with three years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of the diverse needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness and experience working with people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use disorder, and mental health.
  • Knowledge of the complex interactions of homelessness, substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence, with sensitivity to cultural and gender-specific issues.
  • Experience with managing data and preparing reports.
  • Knowledge of HRA and homeless shelter systems.
  • Knowledge of systems approaches to prevention and ability to integrate systems and services and leverage existing community assets and resources.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Harm Reduction, Trauma‑informed care, Motivational Interviewing.
