Locally, Nashville SC is in its sixth season and continues to thrive both on and off the field, highlighted by the opening of GEODIS Park in May 2022—the largest soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer. Position Overview: The Director of Human Resources plays a key role within the Human Resources team, collaborating and supporting Nashville Soccer Club and Huntsville City Football Club’s leaders and team. In this role, you will contribute to shaping and executing the HR talent strategy, while also leading cross-functional HR initiatives that drive organizational priorities and enhance employee experience. Role & Responsibilities Administer or oversee the administration of human resource functions including, but not limited to employee relations, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, benefits and performance management. Work closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Develops, aligns and executes HR programs and initiatives; seeks successful completion in support of business unit plans. Identifies talent needs, risks and gaps; builds and coordinates execution of a plan to address using talent management tools and resources. Reviews trends in compensation and recommends opportunities and interventions for better alignment of programs to meet business needs Partner with the HR Specialist to support the full cycle recruiting while working together to ensure a smooth new hire onboarding. Partner with leaders across the organization to determine staffing and recruiting needs. Completes Major League Soccer Annual HR-related reporting requests. Oversees benefits administration, communicating with employees, vendors and third-party administrators. Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA reporting, OSHA reporting, etc.). Qualifications At least five years of human resources management experience. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Ability to work with individuals at all levels, including part-time, full-time, management and executive positions. Maintain an elevated level of confidentiality for employee issues and records. Proactive, organized and detail-oriented individual who can prioritize their workload and work effectively under pressure. Ensures confidentiality of information and utmost discretion in all situations. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Bilingual (Spanish) speaker is a plus but not required.
