Our work has been recognized nationally for both community impact and sustained excellence. The Role The HR Director at HTG Hospitality is both a strategic leader and a hands-on partner. This role balances two equally important areas of responsibility: Compliance & Benefits — ensuring HR processes, policies, and benefit programs are compliant, equitable, and accessible; and People & Culture — nurturing a workplace rooted in respect, growth, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities Oversee all HR functions, including compliance, employee relations, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management Serve as a resource to restaurant managers and operations leaders, equipping them to handle day-to-day HR questions and employee concerns Lead open enrollment and manage benefit programs (health, retirement, PTO, leave administration) Partner with leadership to foster a values-driven, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture Develop and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and training programs that ensure compliance and support team growth Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes Partner with ownership on strategic initiatives, workforce planning, and culture-building projects Act as a trusted advisor to staff at all levels Qualifications 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in hospitality or related industry Familiarity with independent restaurant operations strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in compliance, benefits management, and employee relations Proven ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and discretion Strong organizational and process-improvement skills SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is a plus We welcome applicants who share our commitment to treating people with respect, operating sustainably, and bringing hospitality to life.
