Director of Nursing Laurelhurst Senior Living – Portland, OR Laurelhurst Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This leadership role is ideal for a strong nurse leader who is dedicated to providing exceptional care, supporting staff development, and fostering a positive resident experience. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of nursing services, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality resident care.
Develop and implement care policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure resident needs are met.
Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and training to maintain efficient operations.
Ensure accurate documentation and participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications Current RN license in Oregon (required).
Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Passion for working with seniors and a commitment to resident-centered care.
