JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Nursing will oversee the nursingdepartment, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with regulations,and effective management of nursing staff. This role is critical duringtransitional periods and requires strong leadership, communication, andclinical expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development for nursing personnel Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policies Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures Stay current with best practices in nursing and healthcare to ensure high standards of care Assist in budget preparation and management for the nursing department Monitor expenditures and implement cost-effective practices Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments Facilitate regular meetings to address issues, share updates, and promote teamwork Other Duties as Assigned REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse licensure required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred Currentand valid nursing license in the state of practice Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Proven experience in managing nursing staff and operations Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies Strong leadership and decision-making abilities Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care and nursing excellence
