Director of Human Resources

We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to oversee both union and non-union environments. This newly elevated role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. HR Director Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $160-180,000 annually, commensurate with experience

HR Director Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience including 3+ years in a senior or director-level role
- Proven success managing both union and non-union environments
- Experience supporting mid- to large-sized organizations (300+ employees)
- Deep knowledge of employment law, labor relations, compensation, and compliance
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, workforce planning, and compensation program design
- Hands-on leader with the ability to manage both strategy and daily HR operations
- Strong communicator and relationship builder
- Proven ability to mentor and develop HR team members
- Leadership style that combines empathy, consistency, and accountability
- Stable career history with a track record of growth and tenure
HR Director Preferred Qualifications
- Background in mining, engineering, or industrial operations industries
- International experience preferred
- Experience leading HR during organizational growth, restructuring, or modernization
- Familiarity with safety programs, training, and field-based workforce challenges
- PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification
