Pittsburgh, PA $125,000- $150,000 We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our client's team at a growing investment firm. This role will play a key part in driving financial strategy, overseeing consolidated reporting across multiple entities, and supporting leadership with forward-looking analysis and insights. OVERVIEW OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ROLE: Lead the finance function across six business entities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness in consolidated financial reporting. Build, enhance, and maintain advanced Excel financial models for forecasting, projections, and scenario planning. Drive the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting, providing strategic analysis to guide decision-making. Oversee the Controller and accounting team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to best practices. Leverage tools such as DataRails, Tableau, and Fathom (upcoming implementation) to streamline financial reporting and analytics. Manage QuickBooks Online accounting platform, ensuring clean financial data and integration with reporting systems. Partner with executive leadership on M&A activity, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration. Present clear and insightful financial reports and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders. Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls, improve efficiency, and modernize finance processes. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred). 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with exposure to the investment management industry. Strong background in Excel financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and consolidated reporting. Hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online; experience with Fathom is a plus. Experience utilizing BI tools (DataRails, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) for financial reporting and analysis. Proven ability to manage and mentor accounting/finance teams. Exposure to M&A transactions (financial due diligence, integrations) highly valued. Strong communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
