Pittsburgh, PA $125,000-$150,000 Our client, a growing investment firm, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead their financial operations and strategy. This role offers the opportunity to oversee consolidated reporting across multiple entities, guide financial planning and forecasting, and provide executive leadership with data-driven insights to support strategic growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities of the Director of Finance Role: Oversee the finance function for six business entities, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting.
The Director of Finance will develop, refine, and maintain advanced Excel models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Lead the annual budget process and manage ongoing reforecasting cycles, delivering actionable insights to leadership.
Supervise the Controller and accounting team, ensuring strong operational execution and adherence to best practices.
Utilize and implement financial reporting and BI tools (DataRails, Tableau, Fathom) to streamline reporting and analytics.
Manage QuickBooks Online and ensure reliable integration with reporting systems.
The Director of Finance will partner with executives on M&A activities, including due diligence, modeling, and post-acquisition integration.
Present clear and compelling financial analysis to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to enhance internal controls, improve efficiency, and modernize financial processes.
Preferred Qualifications of the Director of Finance Role: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within investment management or a related industry.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, consolidated reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online; familiarity with Fathom a plus.
Strong knowledge of BI/reporting tools such as DataRails, Tableau, or Power BI.
Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring accounting/finance professionals.
M&A exposure, including financial due diligence and integration experience, highly valued.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
