Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Director of Commercial Sales role based in Fort Mill. Our client is a well-established industry leader in clean energy manufacturing, known for innovation, high-efficiency solar solutions, and a strong commitment to U.S.-based production. With a focus on continuous improvement and sustainability, they are expanding their commercial and light utility solar sales operations and seeking a dynamic leader to drive market growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategy and execution of commercial and light utility (C&I) solar sales across the U.S.

  • Develop and implement high-level sales plans to achieve revenue goals and market expansion.

  • Build and strengthen customer relationships by providing tailored U.S.-made solar solutions that meet commercial project needs.

  • Identify strategic customer partnerships that benefit from U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities.

  • Create and scale internal resources to support a thriving C&I division within the sales team.

  • Target new market segments and uncover growth opportunities to expand market presence.

  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to successfully launch products and campaigns.

  • Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to optimize strategy.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budget reports aligned with company goals.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to build visibility and forge new partnerships.

  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, sales policies, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding revenue targets in the U.S. commercial and utility solar sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of solar products, technologies, and contract structures relevant to the C&I market.

  • Deep industry connections within the U.S. commercial solar ecosystem.

  • Experience managing and selling commercial solar projects from concept to close.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Skilled in forecasting, data analysis, CRM tools, and strategic reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Legal, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum 5 years in a senior sales role or experience managing U.S. commercial/utility solar projects.

  • Demonstrated success winning and growing business in competitive and evolving markets.
