As the company evolves into an enterprise-class platform, the Director of Business Systems will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and digital transformation. This hands-on leadership position, reporting to the CIO, will oversee the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native business systems, leveraging modern technologies and AI to enhance productivity and process compliance. The Director will lead a team of business analysts and project managers, directly manage key business system initiatives, and help shape the future of the organization’s technology landscape.
Responsibilities Lead the design and rollout of formal project governance and phase-gate processes for business systems initiatives.
Oversee the delivery of automations, applications, and dashboards to improve efficiency across multiple business functions.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and offshore development teams.
Manage the integration and alignment of acquired companies into core business systems.
Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for process automation and data intelligence.
Serve as the business systems lead for 1–2 functional areas, such as Finance, HR, or Operations.
Drive architectural and DevOps alignment across all business systems projects.
Mentor and grow a team of business analysts and project managers.
Advise on software selection and adoption, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Lead intake, prioritization, and execution of the business systems project portfolio.
Manage third-party vendors and contracts related to business systems.
Embed data governance and accuracy into all system workflows and processes.
Optimize repeatable processes for scalability and measurable ROI.
Qualifications 12+ years of experience in Information Systems or Business Analysis, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience supporting Finance, Payroll, HR, Accounting, and/or Operations platforms.
Demonstrated success delivering cross-functional technology projects with both internal and offshore teams.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, Power BI, and Fabric.
Strong understanding of project governance, stakeholder management, and process design.
Experience managing IS budget planning, including Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB).
Preferred: Experience integrating acquired companies into core business systems.
Preferred: Familiarity with security, compliance, and data privacy frameworks.
Preferred: Background in construction, field services, or project-based industries.
Preferred: Degree in Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
