What You’ll Do Own Calm’s paid acquisition media planning and budgeting. Build a cross‑channel media plan to maximize results across digital and offline channels—including paid social, paid search, Apple Search Ads (ASA), Google UAC, and emerging platforms. Set and manage annual media budgets and performance targets in partnership with Finance to ensure cost efficiency and ROI aligned with Calm’s financial plan. Develop forecasts, lead pacing, and budget management processes to maintain accountability with the broader DTC financial plan. Track and report on monthly and year‑to‑date pacing; collaborate with the finance team for variance analysis. Partner with internal media buyers to analyze channel performance and trends; identify optimization opportunities and drive implementation to hit targets. Work with a multi‑discipline team (media buyers, UA analytics, creative strategists) to ensure alignment, communication, and operational excellence. Deliver regular performance updates, channel outlooks, and growth recommendations to senior leadership. Proactively analyze data to surface trends and opportunities; design tests or solutions and execute them with cross‑functional teams. Project accountability lead – manage team roadmaps, prioritize workstreams, and manage stakeholder expectations. Assist in developing and optimizing internal processes to boost team productivity. Drive new AI adoption within workflows to increase productivity; identify and evaluate technology solutions to automate tasks and improve data accuracy; lead implementation of AI‑powered tools. Who You Are Financially fluent with experience in media planning, budget forecasting, and optimizing spend for efficiency and scale. Analytical with a passion for data and the ability to translate insights into scalable action. Strong understanding of measurement, incrementality testing, cohort‑based LTV, and full‑funnel performance tracking. Proven track record of driving acquisition growth and ROAS across eight‑figure budgets. Experience across paid social, paid search, ASA, Google UAC, and offline channels within a DTC environment; deep understanding of drivers for each channel. Strong communicator and collaborator with a track record of influencing cross‑functional partners. Highly organized, self‑directed, and thriving in a fast‑paced environment. Nice to Have Experience with mobile app or subscription‑based performance marketing. Minimum Requirements 6+ years in acquisition or performance marketing roles, with deep experience managing paid channels in‑house. Proven success managing eight‑figure paid media budgets across multiple channels. In‑depth understanding of media strategy, cross‑channel planning, and the intricacies of online and offline media activation and performance analysis. Effective project management—meeting timelines and managing stakeholder expectations. Deep understanding of media strategy, measurement, plan development, and channel dynamics. Strong financial acumen—understanding how marketing output ties to financial plans and forecasting; able to work with finance counterparts. Compensation & Benefits Calm uses geographic pay to determine salaries based on employee residence. Base pay ranges for this position are $178,600 – $272,800, with eligibility for higher compensation based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. The role is also eligible for equity, comprehensive benefits, 401k, and flexible time off. Calm may use AI in the application review process, with human involvement at all stages of hiring.
