Overview Director, Market Access at CareDx, Inc. CareDx is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on transplant patient care across the pre- and post-transplant journey. Responsibilities Articulate and sell the company value proposition to state Medicaid programs and regional payers. Create synergies and partnerships that leverage the CareDx portfolio to accelerate patient access to products and testing services. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Advocacy, and Government Affairs to achieve new or improved coverage policies. Design and implement strategies leveraging KOLs, Patient Advocacy Groups, state regulations, and data to negotiate favorable medical policy and coverage with payers. Lead and drive in-network contracting with regional payers, negotiate favorable reimbursement rates, and obtain pricing on state Medicaid fee schedules. Develop and execute state-specific access strategies and target pipelines to increase payer coverage. Build and maintain relationships with key payer decision-makers (medical directors, reimbursement specialists, policy makers, administrators and staff). Work with internal teams to gather and present data supporting reimbursement and policy decisions, illustrating the value of CareDx products. Monitor competitor strategies and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats in payer contracting and medical policy. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment on market access priorities and broader strategy. Skills and Capabilities Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, business, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) is a plus. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in market access, payer contracting, reimbursement strategy, or similar roles within diagnostics or medical devices. Proven experience in driving in-network contracting and securing positive medical policies with state Medicaid programs and regional payers. Experience leveraging state biomarker laws to drive coverage of CareDx products. Strong understanding of payer requirements, reimbursement processes, and coverage criteria for diagnostic products. Ability to manage multiple payer relationships and projects with a results-focused mindset. Must be able to travel at least 15% of the time. Excellent negotiation and communication skills; strong problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, including commercial payers, Medicaid, and government programs. Ability to present clinical and economic evidence clearly and persuasively. Ability to analyze payer trends and market access opportunities to inform strategy. Strategic mindset with the ability to work independently and drive results. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, detail-focused, and adaptable to a fast-changing healthcare environment. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence key decision-makers. Experience with sole-sourced diagnostic tests. Remote Remote: US only roles Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base salary range in the United States is $162,000 to $210,000. Base pay may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. This salary range may not reflect positions in all states.
