    Director of Coordination
    Brooklyn, NY
    On-Site Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
    $80K – $120K + Bonuses

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic and emotionally intelligent Director of Coordination to lead our growing team of 10+ coordinators and one supervisor. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, team motivation, and staffing efficiency in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Prior experience in healthcare is a plus, but more importantly, we’re looking for a confident, process-minded leader who knows how to bring structure, accountability, and positive energy to a team.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • Proven leadership experience managing and motivating teams

    • Strong communicator with emotional intelligence and a people-first mindset

    • Comfortable owning KPIs, tracking performance, and making real-time process improvements

    • Systems thinker with experience implementing or enhancing coordination tools/software

    • Organized, energetic, and ready to take on a challenge

    • Bilingual in Spanish or Yiddish preferred (not required)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of staffing coordinators and one supervisor. Set clear goals, track performance, and coach team members to succeed.

    • Operations Oversight: Implement and refine processes to ensure efficient staff assignments and coverage. Optimize use of coordination platforms (e.g., HHA Exchange, Smartsheets, Microsoft Office).

    • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as the communication bridge between coordination and departments including HR, Payroll, Compliance, Billing, and Nursing.

    • Accountability: Monitor daily workflows, address escalations, and ensure compliance with internal protocols and regulatory standards.

    • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot gaps in process, software use, or team performance. Provide retraining, feedback, and continuous improvement strategies.

    • Culture Building: Promote a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture.

    Qualifications

    • Required:

      • 3–5+ years of team management experience in operations, scheduling, or similar fields

      • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and workflow tools like Smartsheets

      • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Preferred:

      • Experience in healthcare, home care, or related service industries

      • Familiarity with HHA Exchange, EVV systems, or staffing platforms

      • Bilingual (Spanish)
