Garden Church is a small church in the Southeast Portland, specifically in the Ladd's Addition neighborhood. We are a relatively new church that has not had a youth ministry before, but has launched one this summer. The church is affiliated with the Northwest Baptist Convention, which is a cooperating group of churches in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Our vision is to know, enjoy, and express the love of Jesus, together.
*About the Role*
The Youth Director is responsible for creating and sustaining a vibrant youth ministry, aligned with the vision and mission of the church. A successful youth ministry should be effective at building relationships with lost teenagers, reaching them with the Gospel, discipling them to love and follow Jesus, teaching them what Biblical community and friendship look like, and developing their spiritual gifts to serve their community inside and outside the church.
This is a part-time role, expected to be ~10 hours per week with a pay stipend of $1,000/month.
