Overview Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is hiring a Full-Time Medical Director Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a variety of animal patients, including cats, dogs, and exotics. The Medical Director is expected to maintain a patient load as the primary focus of daily activity, with leadership duties amounting to about 10-15% of time; the remaining time is spent on the clinic floor. Responsibilities Provide medical, surgical, and dental care for diverse patients, including cats, dogs, and exotics. Maintain a patient load as the primary daily activity. Balance clinical duties with leadership responsibilities, spending approximately 10-15% of time on leadership tasks. Compensation and Benefits Salary: Base salary between $145,000 and $155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Incentive: Pro-sal incentive of 22% with no negative accrual; potential to exceed $200,000 per year depending on productivity. Sign-on Bonus: $50,000 Other: Medical Director stipend; relocation assistance; sponsorship; membership reimbursements (Plumb’s/VIN); license/dues/AVMA-PLIT coverage; CE allowance; uniform allowance; pet discounts; retirement plan. Schedule and Location Location: 35 Finn Rd., Henrietta, NY 14467 Schedule: Appointment-based model; clients call to secure urgent care appointments. Once fully booked, doctors are not required to stay beyond scheduled shifts, supporting work-life balance. Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution. Active veterinary license in the state of New York.
