Position Title: UNIT DIRECTOR II

SHIFT: 8 AM - 6PM (10 hour days)

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000

Pay Grade: 15

Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus

Job Summary

Working as a Unit Director, you will be responsible for the effective leadership of janitorial services which includes the successful management of supervisors, finances, client relations, patient and customer satisfaction, program quality standards, performance improvement, and personnel performance and productivity. You will also be responsible for the overall planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics
  • Develops and recommends department's operating budget
  • Coordinates transportation activities and services with other hospital departments
  • Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the department
  • Establishes work standards and work flow
  • Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations
  • Demonstrates good communication skills with clients
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates proficiency with respect to TeamChimes, TeamTransport and all related software

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Soft Services to include Janitorial, Shipping & Receiving, and/or Administrative Support

7+ years of Facilities Management experience within the Business & Industry sector


Experience with Hard Services highly preferred also
GMP and Clean Room Management experience a plus
Clean Room Operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
P&L Management
Client Relations and Customer Service Oriented
Team leadership Abilities; Staffing Recruiting, Development and Relations
Planning, Organization & System Know-how
