Seeking an experienced
nursing leader
to serve as overnight House Supervisor covering all inpatient units during FMLA absence. This leadership role requires crisis management, staff supervision, and quality improvement in a busy public hospital. Core Responsibilities
Administrative Leadership Conduct nightly rounds to all nursing units (ED, Med-Surg, ICU, OB) Authorize staffing adjustments based on census/acuity Lead rapid responses and code blue events Investigate and document:
Medication errors Patient/family complaints Staff incidents
Quality & Compliance Implement corrective action plans for nursing staff Ensure Joint Commission readiness overnight Audit medication storage/narcotic counts Staff Development Provide real-time coaching to charge nurses Conduct competency validations for float staff Mentor new graduate nurses during night shifts Requirements
Licensure & Education Active NY RN License
