CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
YOUR TEAM This position is situated within our National Tax Team and will focus on Trust & Estate work, along with the potential to help with 1040/1041 work as well. You will partner with other technical experts within the tax field and have the opportunity to learn and develop at a rapid pace.

YOUR ROLE Responsibilities
Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns;
Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates;
Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes;
Read & summarize estate planning documents, and provide guidance on federal & state income and death tax treatment;
Research and consult on estate, gift and trust issues (e.g., trustee/beneficiary issues, tax impact of estate administration, generation skipping tax).
Help generate opportunities within existing clients and pursue new client engagements;
Prepare and present technical training to specialty groups and the core tax department;
Manage all aspects of client relationships; supervise a team of professionals to complete engagements from start to finish.
Your Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax is a plus
CPA or JD is required
Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, and high net worth clients
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a public accounting firm
Strong tax research skills
Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
