Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid/Remote with potential in-office requirements for client work, team meetings, or trainings). Responsibilities Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns. Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates. Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes. Read and summarize estate planning documents and provide guidance on federal and state income and death tax treatment. Research and consult on estate, gift and trust related issues (trustee/beneficiary issues, tax impact of estate administration, generation skipping tax issues). Generate opportunities within existing clients and pursue new clients. Prepare and present technical training to the specialty group and core tax department. Manage all aspects of client relationships. Lead and manage a team of professionals to complete engagements from start to finish. Your Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax is a plus CPA or JD is required Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, and high net worth clients Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a public accounting firm Strong tax research skills Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a collaborative team environment Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills About CohnReznick CohnReznick helps organizations optimize performance, manage risk, and maximize value through CohnReznick LLP (assurance services) and CohnReznick Advisory LLC (advisory and tax services).
