The Senior Youth Director oversees and is responsible for the creation, planning, and evaluation of youth, teen and family programs. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees and volunteers to ensure staff are representative of the mission of the YMCA. Provides a quality experience to members focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent.

Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. Knowledge of and experience in directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising. Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations. Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance. YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred. YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid, and Oxygen certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days. Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day. Complete other online and in-person training as required.
