The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Senior Youth Program Director to join our team. Job Description The Senior Youth Director oversees and is responsible for the creation, planning, and evaluation of youth, teen, and family programs. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees and volunteers to ensure staff are aligned with the YMCA mission. Provides a quality experience to members focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Qualifications The Senior Youth Director oversees and is responsible for the creation, planning, and evaluation of youth, teen, and family programs. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees and volunteers to ensure staff are aligned with the YMCA mission. Provides a quality experience to members focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Essential Functions Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote youth programs and/or membership growth for the YMCA. Execute strategies to ensure members and/or program participants connect with one another and with the YMCA. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations. Maintain program standards and safety procedures. Develop high-quality, member-focused programs through innovative development, evaluations, and staff training. Coordinate special events and activities. Provide data and reports as required. Collaborate with other YMCA branches for consistent programming. Develop community collaborations to promote volunteer development. Respond promptly to member and community inquiries and complaints. Manage department budgets and expenses. Hire, train, supervise staff and volunteers. Facilitate communication and provide leadership. Review staff performance and develop motivation strategies. Manage staff schedules, time cards, and volunteer hours. Provide professional development for staff. Oversee department operations and coverage needs. Support fundraising campaigns and community relations. Promote an inclusive and equitable work environment.
