Overview

Client seeks a strategic and hands-on Senior Director of Finance to lead financial infrastructure development during a period of growth. This role ensures transparency, compliance, and sustainability while supporting a values-driven culture and long-term vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage contracts and grants, ensuring compliance and alignment with program goals.
  • Develop scalable financial systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide real-time financial analytics and dashboards.
  • Oversee audits, funder reporting, and financial statements.
  • Advise leadership on financial implications of strategic decisions.
  • Align financial operations with organizational goals and support cross-functional workflows.
  • Ensure legal compliance and manage risk through policies and internal controls.
  • Transition from fiscal sponsorship to independent financial operations.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, inclusion, and financial literacy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in finance/accounting required; MBA, MPA, or CPA preferred.
  • 7–10 years of financial leadership experience, ideally in a start-up or mission-driven setting.
  • Expertise in financial systems, budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and grant management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Compensation

Salary range: $190,000–$250,000 with comprehensive benefits
