DecisionPoint is seeking an exceptional Director of Capture to identify, qualify, capture and win new business opportunities within Federal Government clients in the Civilian and/or Defense sectors. This position is on a hybrid telecommute model with a minimum of 2 days on site in Reston. Responsibilities Communicate capture strategy to the growth team and ensure it is implemented effectively. Identify and recruit subcontractors to help the company successfully bid on projects. Conduct research to determine the best price and the best slate of services for the bid. Meet with prospective customers to answer questions and discuss potential contracting vehicles. Close deals and bring in new business for the best possible price. Ensure NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, and related documents are signed by all parties involved in a new business deal. Understand every aspect of a business opportunity including scope, resources, impact on schedules, competition, pricing and budget concerns. Work with proposal developers to submit top-notch proposals and participate in every phase of the proposal process. Establish and build relationships with prospective and existing clients and partner companies. Develop a plan for regular contact with prospective client targets (e.g., Call Plan). Study key competitors, perform competitive analysis, and make recommendations for competitive positioning. Active clearance preferred. Qualifications BA/BS with 5+ years of successful capture experience in VA, HHS, DHS, and/or DHA markets, with emphasis on digital modernization, cloud, cyber, and ITSM. In-depth knowledge of Shipley or similar frameworks and the government contracting capture and proposal process. Evidence of successful capture experience with target government agencies and experience growing SDVOSB/Small businesses. Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in a collaborative environment. MS Office at an intermediate level.
