As a Capture Sr Director, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of key intelligence customers. You will play a crucial role in providing an outstanding opportunity to play a leadership role as we work together to apply the breadth of resources available in our organization to critical technology and mission challenges across the Intelligence Community. You will be a key member of the Growth Team, collaborating with operations and engineering personnel.
Responsibilities
- Lead/Manage/Support — lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and demonstrate a proven methodology toward increasing win probability. Responsible for pursuing and winning new business contracts valued from $100M+ to $1B+.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders within the line of business, business development and all functional areas to achieve the mission.
- Drive major capture activities including:
- Pursuing opportunities within the Federal IC space.
- Provide strategic thinking and execution for capture efforts by determining capture team resource requirements and managing costs throughout the Bid Acquisition Process.
- Engage with customers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to qualify new business opportunities.
- Interface between Business Development and internal/external stakeholders (Business Units, Operations and Engineering Staff, and Corporate functional organizations) to develop technical, management and pricing strategies.
- Understand capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses and direct the development of solution development, CONOPS and path to win.
- Manage multiple capture efforts in conjunction with where the opportunity resides in the acquisition process.
- Provide customer and business knowledge through business intelligence to ensure the team fully understands customer desires/needs and the capabilities of potential competitors.
- Develop win themes and strategies including value propositions. Identify and obtain commitment from industry partners (including OEMs) to bridge gaps and increase the Pwin.
- Establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.
- Co-Lead with cost estimating team on pricing strategy to align with the solution and achieve optimal cost advantage for the bid.
- Co-Lead with Proposal Manager the color team reviews to ensure reviews are conducted in a repeatable manner adhering to procedures and processes.
- Support continual business development process improvement.
- Capture, document, maintain and report capture and pursuit metrics.
- Meet and/or exceed performance goals in support of corporate growth while complying with applicable Federal Procurement and Business Ethics Codes and Regulations.
Utilize business development and capture tools including Salesforce, SharePoint and other key applications.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Capture Sr Director must have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience: 15+ years of related experience with a proven track record of capturing and winning large new business contracts; with 8+ years of relevant capture experience with the Northern VA IC customers
- Technical skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills to analyze market and customer trends; knowledge of industry practices/trends/leaders; familiarity with acquisition/procurement policies and regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communications, presentation, organizational/time management, and team-building skills with a strong sales presence
- Security clearance: TS/SCI with POLY required to start
- US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $216,750 - $293,250. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary will be set based on experience, location and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
