Overview

Senior Director of Human Resources for a global Fortune 500 life sciences leader. Location: San Jose or Sunnyvale, CA (4 days onsite / 1 remote). Compensation: Up to $250K base + 30% bonus + relocation assistance.

Role summary: Partner directly with executive leadership to develop and execute human capital strategies that drive business performance, enable organizational growth, and foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration. Lead all aspects of strategic HR planning, including workforce design, talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness to support high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience within a Fortune 500 organization
• Minimum 5 years at the Director level and 2+ years at the Senior Director or VP level
• Proven success in pharma, biotech, or life sciences sectors strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing strategic HR insight, coaching, and organizational guidance
• Design and implement HR initiatives that align with long-term business objectives and company values
• Lead talent planning, succession management, and workforce optimization to support evolving business needs
• Partner with business leaders to structure teams for agility and efficiency across global operations
• Drive alignment of HR strategies with financial and operational goals to ensure strong performance outcomes
