Responsibilities The Certified Dietary Manager will oversee the food service program at one site, ensuring the highest standards for food quality, inventory management, food safety, and customer service. This role requires strict adherence to facility menus, as well as federal, state, and local regulations, to consistently deliver quality dining services. Lead and support the food service team in meeting quality and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software. Conduct training, quality control, and in-service sessions and perform the roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed. Effectively communicate directives and feedback from managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff. Ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly. Follow infection control protocols and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment. Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion. Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with all stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is required. An associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, preferably with a focus on food service or restaurant management, is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision is preferred. Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment. Must secure Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with administration and team members to perform daily tasks efficiently. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously is crucial. Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products. Basic computer skills for record maintenance and reporting are necessary.
