Your Role and Responsibilities: Drive clinical strategy and initiatives within Independent Practice Affiliate Physician Offices to improve care delivery in a value-based environment. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with healthcare providers to influence positive change. Support the Chief Medical Officer in key areas such as utilization management, prior authorization, and oversight of care management services. Lead education initiatives around Medicare Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) and work with providers to enhance clinical documentation and coding accuracy. Engage in market reviews and local medical expense committees to identify opportunities for improvement. Oversee HEDIS data collection processes and drive improvements in care assessments. Participate in Health Plan accreditation activities and support quality initiatives. Travel primarily within key regions to connect with member clinics, with an emphasis on visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. What We Are Looking For: MD or DO with an active, unrestricted license in the U.S. (Arizona preferred). A minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience. Experience with Medicare Advantage programs and patient care quality metrics such as HEDIS and RAF. Deep understanding of managed care and value-based medicine. Proven leadership skills in strategizing for accurate diagnostic coding. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Quality Management. History of success in managed care environments. Experience engaging with senior leadership on market trends and strategies. Collaborative mindset with successful track record in building relationships across various healthcare sectors. Experience in driving clinical and financial improvements in independently contracted provider networks. We offer competitive compensation ranging from $269,500 to $425,500 depending on experience, with additional benefits including a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, and a 401k contribution.
