Salary: $106,640 – $123,500 annually
The Denver Based National Director, Entertainment & Programming (Activities) will be responsible for providing strategic direction for all Spectrum Retirement Communities locations in leading Activities, Entertainment, and Programming that addresses the Physical, Social, Spiritual, Emotional, Cognitive and Leisure needs of our residents. This role partners with all Regional Directors and the SVP, Operations to follow through with the department’s initiatives in the communities.
In this position, the main responsibilities include:
Reviewing monthly program calendar programming and Signature Events that create an engaging environment for residents & families. Assess the communities as it relates to meeting minimum standards for programming and communicate any concerns or trends to the Regional Director of Operations (RDO).
Continually improving and update the department’s Policies and Guidelines Manual and standards of performance, in collaboration with RDOs.
Collaborating with the Corporate Resident Care leadership to ensure assisted living and memory care programs that align with clinical goals.
Creating a Grading system to enable the National Director, E&P to rate communities on performance that tracks and analyzes key data on resident engagement, satisfaction, and retention to measure effective programming.
Providing health of the department to the Corporate Headquarters’ executive leadership team and work closely with executive leadership on various projects and goals.
Evaluating current software and national vendors for efficiency and negotiate the contracts to ensure optimal value for the company.
Reviewing financials to evaluate where expenses are or are not being utilized and work with the RDOs to address opportunities with the community. Assist in reviewing budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
Creating best practices toolbox that contains successful programming events that communities can utilize as necessary.
Overseeing transportation to ensure it is in adherence with policy.
Interpret data insights to develop national metrics and actionable strategies for continuous growth and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in managing entertainment & programming for complex, multi-unit hospitality organizations (could include hotel, restaurant, entertainment, or senior living industries).
At least 3 years dispersed leadership experience preferred.
At least 5 years of experience with a successful track record in Entertainment and Programming.
Regional or multi community management experience preferred.
A continuous, demonstrated interest, passion and knowledge of seniors and their needs as well as the competency to meet those needs on a consistent basis.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve success through management of others.
Ability to travel at least 70% in a national geographical area.
