Position Details We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Maintenance Director to join our Team!
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Staff Management : Recruit, train, and lead maintenance and custodial personnel, provide guidance, and evaluate staff performance to ensure a qualified and motivated team. Maintenance Strategy & Programs:  Plan, develop, and implement proactive maintenance strategies, including preventative maintenance programs, to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency. Facility & Asset Management:  Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the organization’s physical assets, buildings, and equipment, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Compliance & Safety:  Ensure all maintenance and custodial operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements, and maintain a safe environment for employees and the public. Vendor & Contractor Management:  Review and approve vendor bids, contracts, and services for parts, repairs, and installations to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Reporting & Communication:  Provide regular reports on department performance, maintenance needs, and project updates to the COO. Problem-Solving:  Apply technical expertise to identify and resolve facility and equipment issues, often requiring quick thinking and practical solutions. Strategic Planning:  Participate in strategic planning for the organization, setting goals and objectives for the maintenance and custodial departments Requirements: Extensive experience in maintenance management or a similar senior role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. In-depth understanding of safety and environmental regulations. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations. Flexibility to work irregular hours for maintenance emergencies. Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency practices is a plus. Other Requirements:
