We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Maintenance Director to join our Team!

Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership & Staff Management: Recruit, train, and lead maintenance and custodial personnel, provide guidance, and evaluate staff performance to ensure a qualified and motivated team.
    • Maintenance Strategy & Programs: Plan, develop, and implement proactive maintenance strategies, including preventative maintenance programs, to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
    • Facility & Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the organization's physical assets, buildings, and equipment, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
    • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance and custodial operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements, and maintain a safe environment for employees and the public.
    • Vendor & Contractor Management: Review and approve vendor bids, contracts, and services for parts, repairs, and installations to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
    • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular reports on department performance, maintenance needs, and project updates to the COO.
    • Problem-Solving: Apply technical expertise to identify and resolve facility and equipment issues, often requiring quick thinking and practical solutions.
    • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning for the organization, setting goals and objectives for the maintenance and custodial departments

Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in maintenance management or a similar senior role.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • In-depth understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
    • Flexibility to work irregular hours for maintenance emergencies.
    • Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency practices is a plus.
