Talent4Health is seeking a local contract Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Director for a local contract job in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • At least 5+ years of experience in high-complexity testing in a CAP/CLIA-regulated lab
  • Minimum 6 years of total clinical lab experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
  • ASCP certification (or equivalent) — Required
  • Demonstrated experience managing large budgets
  • Prior experience as an Administrative Lab Director in a hospital setting, preferably within a multi-hospital system

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills

     

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory across multiple hospital sites
  • Directly manage and support a team of approximately 65 staff
  • Ensure compliance with CAP and CLIA standards
  • Lead departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and process improvement
  • Collaborate with hospital executives and C-suite leadership
  • Maintain high standards for patient safety, test accuracy, and turnaround times
