Position Overview The Imaging Services Director will oversee all imaging operations within the facility, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while working collaboratively with other departments to enhance patient care. You will manage the imaging department's budget and lead a talented team of professionals to achieve departmental goals. Your key responsibilities will include developing strategic plans, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining advanced imaging technology. Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations of all imaging areas. Establish effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and administration. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff. Demonstrate expertise in radiologic programs and techniques. Monitor department operations to maintain accreditation standards. Handle equipment management and repairs efficiently. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations. Maintain organized and readily available supplies for patient care. Respond promptly to patient and family requests. Provide ongoing education and competence assessments for staff. Role model professional leadership behavior. Utilize hospital-wide technology, including RIS/EMR/PACS. Participate in quality assurance and operational improvement efforts. Maintain accurate knowledge of chargemaster and imaging procedures. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned and maintain attendance. Leadership Responsibilities Mentor and develop departmental staff for professional growth. Schedule employees to maximize resource efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Strategic Planning and Financial Oversight Collaborate with leadership to establish departmental strategies. Ensure cost-effective service delivery through budget monitoring. Implement new technologies for better operational performance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or seven-plus years of direct experience in lieu of a degree required. Master's Degree preferred. 3-5 years of related experience and leadership preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Licenses and Certifications ARRT certification required.
