The Opportunity: SALARY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Home Care Director to lead our team of skilled and compassionate home health professionals. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall direction, management, and strategic growth of our home care services. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong clinical background as a Registered Nurse and an in-depth understanding of the unique landscape of home health care. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical and Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of home care operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including those set by Medicare and Medicaid. Strategic Planning and Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand our services and reach within the Tacoma area, aligning with the organization's mission and financial goals. Team Management and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of home health nurses, aides, and administrative staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain a comprehensive Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, ensuring continuous improvement in patient outcomes and satisfaction. Financial Oversight: Manage the department's budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure efficient resource allocation. Community Engagement: Represent the organization in the community, building strong relationships with referral sources, partners, and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington is required. Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in a home health or home care setting. Extensive experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, billing, and compliance is essential. You must be well-versed in the intricacies of these programs as they relate to home health services. Proven track record of success in program management, budget development, and staff supervision. A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration) is a significant plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. A passion for the non-profit sector and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations.
