We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Home Care Director to lead our team of skilled and compassionate home health professionals. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall direction, management, and strategic growth of our home care services. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong clinical background as a Registered Nurse and an in-depth understanding of the unique landscape of home health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical and Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of home care operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including those set by Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Strategic Planning and Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand our services and reach within the Tacoma area, aligning with the organization's mission and financial goals.
  • Team Management and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of home health nurses, aides, and administrative staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain a comprehensive Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, ensuring continuous improvement in patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the department's budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the organization in the community, building strong relationships with referral sources, partners, and other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in a home health or home care setting.
  • Extensive experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, billing, and compliance is essential. You must be well-versed in the intricacies of these programs as they relate to home health services.
  • Proven track record of success in program management, budget development, and staff supervision.
  • A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration) is a significant plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for the non-profit sector and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations.
