Cox Consulting Network is exclusively working with a profitable and growing firm in the building industry in its search for a Finance Director. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is the highest-ranking financial professional at the firm. The position is in-office (with ample professional flexibility) in downtown Austin. In the future, the position is expected to be hybrid with 1-2 days/week work-from-home.

Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as a financial advisor to the executive team, providing insights to support strategic initiatives, growth, and risk mitigation. Translate business strategy into financial targets, forecasts, and KPIs. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year modeling processes and proformas. Provide strategic financial guidance to the Executive Team, Leadership Team, and Board of Directors. Conduct and communicate financial analysis and deliver insights to leadership on financial trends and forecasts to guide business decisions. Oversee short- and long-term cash-flow planning to ensure adequate liquidity and financial stability across all business operations. Partner with leadership to evaluate capital investments, assess return on investment, and support decisions related to strategic growth initiatives, real estate, or technology. Develop and optimize budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring effective processes, accurate deliverables, and actionable insights and reporting by which to manage performance. Identify opportunities for cost savings, margin improvement, and operational efficiencies. Ability to travel (~10% of the time) to various offices throughout Texas. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Accounting CPA certification is a huge plus Project Accounting experience is required Excellent GAAP accounting knowledge and experience in financial planning & analysis. Extensive experience overseeing accounting functions, including payroll, A/R, A/P, project accounting, invoicing, and reconciliations. Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations. Experience managing financial reporting, tax compliance, and risk management. Advanced proficiency with ERP software. VantagePoint or Deltek is a huge plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to design and build complex spreadsheets.
