Overview

We seek a part-time Executive Director to lead the organization in expanding its current level of programming. This person must be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to listen and collaborate. They will be a skilled fundraiser with deep connections to the music community in the Boston area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand programming and strategic direction of the organization.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support programming and operations.
• Communicate effectively with staff, board, volunteers, donors, and school/community partners.
• Engage with the Boston music community to build partnerships and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in senior management, preferably in music education.
• Appreciation for string instruments and chamber music is expected.
• Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to stakeholders.
