Howe Community Resource Center (HCRC) is seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization in providing critical services and programs to families and children in need. About Us For nearly 30 years, HCRC has been a cornerstone of support in our community, offering resources, education, and assistance to families. We work closely with schools, partners, and donors to ensure families have access to the services they need to thrive. Position Summary The Executive Director provides visionary leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight of HCRC. This role is responsible for the center's daily operations, financial management, program development, fundraising, and community engagement. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works collaboratively with staff, donors, and community partners to fulfill the organization's mission. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Administration Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the HCRC. Establish goals and objectives in collaboration with the Board, based on community needs. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Maintain a strong working relationship with the Board, keeping them informed of community trends and operational requirements. Oversee the organization's financial health, including budget preparation and fiscal management. Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan with the Board and fundraising committee. Seek new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement. Strengthen relationships with existing donors and increase awareness of HCRC’s impact. Staff & Program Management Supervise and support staff, interns, and volunteers. Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure program delivery aligns with HCRC’s mission and meets community needs. Maintain and develop partnerships with local schools and community organizations. Community Relations & Advocacy Serve as the public face of HCRC, promoting its mission and programs. Develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies to increase program participation. Collaborate with the Howe School and other community partners to expand services. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Leadership experience in nonprofit management, human services, or community-based programs. Proven track record in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and fiscal oversight. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
