About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Institute, a pioneering collaboration between the School of Law and the School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Institute in achieving its strategic goals, including the development of a comprehensive strategic plan, and driving its mission to address the ethical and legal challenges posed by advancements in healthcare and technology. This role demands an entrepreneurial leader with a strong background in strategic business development, particularly in the areas of strategic communications and external collaborations. The Executive Director will also oversee the Institute's administrative functions, budget, and team management, and will be the primary representative for the Institute in all matters of public relations and media.

Applicants for the Executive Director position at the Institute should have a Master's degree, with a preference for candidates holding a J.D. or Ph.D. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in a leadership role within a large, complex organization, and a proven track record in strategic planning, budget management, and community outreach. Skills in areas such as event management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement are essential. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in health law, inclusive leadership, and a deep understanding of privacy policies and regulatory compliance. The Executive Director will be expected to have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
