The Salesforce Cloud Economics and Capacity Management (CECM) team is seeking an Engineering Leader to build Data Applications, enable software efficiency, and lead self-organizing engineering teams delivering analytics solutions using Big Data, Backend and Visualization technologies. You will work with engineers, product managers, internal customers, data scientists, and architects to enable FinOps capabilities for Salesforce users and efficient use of Salesforce infrastructure resources. Responsibilities Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineers Partner with Product Management to align objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, and risk Develop self-organizing, high-performing engineering teams with clear priorities and adequate resources Facilitate critical decisions that drive the success of internal platforms and products Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members, including senior engineers and engineering managers Advocate for technical excellence and participate in architecture discussions with internal and external teams Lead by example, upholding Salesforce Values of Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, Equality and Sustainability Contribute to improvements in technology, processes, and products within the team’s scope Qualifications Related technical degree required 5+ years of experience managing high-performing software engineering teams 10+ years of experience delivering trusted engineering services and products Experience leading globally distributed teams; prior experience hiring and mentoring distributed engineers and engineering managers Experience leading distributed systems, especially big data analytics products and backend microservices Strong verbal and written communication with internal stakeholders and external customers Flexible and proactive; able to drive clarity with minimal or ambiguous specifications Experience with agile release cycles and end-to-end software development lifecycle for internal products Proven track record in software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, CI, testing, operations) Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum leadership Pay and Benefits Base pay range: $211,500.00/yr - $334,600.00/yr.
