Director, Global Growth & Partnerships Research WBD is looking for a Director, Growth & Partnerships Research , to lead and drive the research and analysis efforts for the Direct-to-Consumer segment, focusing on growth marketing, retention, sports, and partnership strategy. The Director will develop and lead the research masterplan and analytics needs through the First Party Database (1PD) across various teams. The role involves defining, leading, analyzing, and socializing research studies that generate insights to empower global business decisions.
Your New Role… The ideal candidate will seamlessly move between analytics using 1st party data and traditional consumer insights tools such as surveys and qualitative methods. They should be strategic thinkers, well-versed in growth marketing, retention, and loyalty analysis, and capable of informing marketing and company strategy through insights. Experience in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, along with a passion for storytelling with data, is essential.
Your Role Accountabilities
Oversee Max & Discovery+ retention, growth, partnership and sports research and analysis globally. Lead, design, execute, and socialize ad-hoc research to inform strategy.
Lead 1PD analysis, working with Max 1st Party data, performing SQL queries to identify and profile target audiences, and analyzing usage and subscription patterns.
Synthesize data from multiple sources to craft insights with strategic business impact.
Translate data into meaningful stories and deliver recommendations to stakeholders, including senior executives.
Partner proactively with other researchers and cross-functional teams such as Data Science, Strategy, Marketing, Product, and Partnerships.
Identify best practices in research methodologies and lead meta-analyses to guide decision-making.
Manage a team of research managers/analysts, fostering a growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
9+ years in consumer market research and data analytics, including research design, report development, and executive presentations.
Advanced SQL skills for data querying, wrangling, analysis, and modeling.
Proficiency with statistical software such as SPSS, Python, R, or Q, with Looker experience a plus.
Strong quantitative reasoning and experience with survey software like Qualtrics.
Minimum of 5 years’ leadership and management experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influence skills.
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
Media, entertainment, or streaming experience is preferred but not required.

In compliance with local law, the salary range for this role is $127,330.00 - $236,470.00 annually, with additional benefits and incentives as applicable. We consider qualified candidates with criminal records in accordance with applicable laws.
