As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Director, Programs for our Engineered Solutions business.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Key member of the Engineered Solutions leadership team with clear responsibility for delivering customer, business and financial expectations from the execution of Engineered Solutions programs and contracts.
· Responsible for the successful development, implementation, schedule, and cost performance of major programs and contracts.
· Ensures programs are executed in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, procedures, and guidelines
· Manages, oversees, monitors, and approves all elements of assigned program activities from inception to completion including proposal development, product design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of products
· Plans and directs the integration of a cross-functional program team within the company. Effectively manages programs within a project or matrix organization. Performs program financial management and ensures timely cash collection
· Identifies program issues and drives timely resolution. Proactively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction across the portfolio of programs
· Conducts detailed monthly program reviews with AMS leadership, reporting on the health and progress of all Engineered Solutions programs and contracts.
· Develop detailed project plans based on supplier manufacturing plans, internal manufacturing plans, logistics processing time, quality control and testing, customer inspection, and billing.
· Effective communication with all business stakeholders and externally with clients and customers.
· Actively supports new business pursuits and proposal activities. Member of the relationship management team for our key clients

Minimum Requirements
· Thorough knowledge of systems engineering principles and product development lifecycle.
· Proven track record of successful program delivery
· Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and management skills.
· Must possess the desire, energy, and capability to solve a broad range of engineering challenges as part of daily activities.
· Successfully work with customers, clients, and supply chain partners.
· Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous workloads effectively, including adapting to changes, planning, organizing, and prioritizing work.
· Ability to lead a small but multi-disciplined engineering team to achieve superior results
· Bring energy and organization every day to elevate business performance.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership talent are necessary to drive positive program outcomes
· Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
· Limited travel required in support of major project and client activity/milestones.
· Understanding of US ITAR regulations
WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· 10+ years’ experience in DoD, aerospace manufacturing, or engineering environment, with 5+ years in program management. PMP certification preferred
· Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems – preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
· Modern workplace software: Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat
· Project management software experience: MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tool.
· Military service or related experience preferred
· US Citizenship required
