We are seeking a UX / Design subject matter expert to lead teams in solving complex product design challenges for Wealth Services within BNY. This role encompasses activities such as user research, testing, interaction design, and visual design. Candidates should have experience across these areas, with expertise in at least one.
Actively refine your expertise and use professional concepts to resolve complex issues, occasionally collaborating with cross-functional partners. Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinate activities of team members. Provide comprehensive consultation to management and staff on user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations. Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams. Define and review user personas. Participate and guide the creation of concepts, information architecture, UI designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules. Lead the implementation of visual styles supporting platform branding to enhance user effectiveness. Interpret user feedback and insights to improve user experience. Review usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations. Contribute UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process using various information sources. Lead the creation and updating of UI and visual design guidelines and standards. Advocate for user-centered design and standardized design systems across the firm, providing training outside the UX team. Ensure products meet user goals through analysis, design, best practices, and standards. Lead complex projects with significant impact, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation. Build strong relationships with team members and key stakeholders, creating networks with decision-makers and partners.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of experience required; experience in securities or financial services is a plus. Must submit a portfolio for consideration.

The expected base salary range is $127,000 to $250,000, determined based on experience and location. Total compensation may include bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
