Director, Product Design (M) – Platform Lead We are seeking a Director Product Design Platform Lead to join the Accounting and Administration platform within BNY. We need a UX / Design subject matter expert to lead teams in solving complex product design challenges for the Accounting and Administration platform at BNY. This role involves activities such as user research and testing, interaction design, and visual design. The ideal candidate should have experience across these areas but be an expert in at least one. Activities for this role include: Actively refine your expertise in the field and use professional concepts to resolve complex issues, occasionally collaborating with cross-functional partners. Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinate activities of others. Provide comprehensive consultation to management and staff on user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations. Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams. Define and review new and modified user personas. Participate in and guide the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules. Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to enhance user effectiveness. Interpret user feedback and insights to improve the user experience. Review usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations. Provide UX expertise during product definition and evaluation, utilizing multiple sources of information such as field work, interviews, internet, market data, and literature. Lead the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards. Advocate for user-centered design and standardized design systems, and facilitate training for groups outside the UX team. Ensure products meet user goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design standards, and best practices. Lead complex projects with internal and cross-functional outcomes, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation. Build strong relationships within the team and across the company, understanding key stakeholders and creating networks with decision-makers and partners. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required; an advanced degree is preferred. 12+ years of experience are required. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

The expected base salary range for this position is $127,000 to $273,000 per year. Salary will be determined based on experience and location and is part of the total compensation, which may include bonuses and benefits.
