The Senior Director, Procurement champions strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and helps align vendors and contractors strategically to maximize value for the delivery of raw materials, consumables, capital goods, services, and indirect materials, in line with the global company strategy. The role reports to the SVP, Global Procurement at Evotec Group’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. This position is hybrid-based at our Seattle or Redmond office. Responsibilities Manage procurement, analysis, negotiation, and control of laboratory and GMP raw materials, consumables, capital goods, services, and indirect materials for Just-Evotec, Seattle, and other sites, aligning with corporate targets and guidelines. Lead a team of motivated procurement specialists in planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring operational and strategic procurement tasks. Develop and coach the team on procurement best practices aligned with the group strategy. Evaluate and develop supplier relationships through strong SRM to ensure reliable, long-term supply sources. Support vendor excellence through agreements, process improvements, and best practices. Provide ongoing support to operational teams, ensuring transparency and regular updates to stakeholders. Generate and analyze monthly KPIs, conduct gap analyses, and implement corrective actions. Lead and guide efficiency projects locally and globally with project sponsors. Establish and train on procurement processes and policies in line with global standards. Ensure export/import activities comply with international trade laws and customs regulations. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, technical operations, quality, validation, facilities & engineering, and process development teams to optimize internal processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Management, Engineering, or related; Master’s in Supply Chain Management or similar preferred. Over 5 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a senior role, preferably in an international corporation. Over 3 years of GMP experience. Experience leading procurement in a production/Material Requirement Planning-driven environment is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Knowledge of international trade and transportation. Proven success in contract negotiations. Excellent communication skills for interacting across all organizational levels. Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a positive attitude. Commercial and analytical skills. Fluency in English; French is a plus. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP), inventory management, MS Office, and digital procurement tools. Willingness to travel occasionally between sites.
