Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Surgical Services to provide both strategic and operational leadership for our perioperative services in Las Vegas, NV. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for advancing surgical programs, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, and overseeing a growing surgical services department with 110+ FTEs and expanding OR capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 oversight of OR, Pre-op/PACU, PAT, and SPD departments.

• Lead strategic growth initiatives to expand surgical services and case volume.

• Enforce standards of care and ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.

• Manage departmental budgets, equipment, and resource allocation.

• Recruit, mentor, and coach staff (charge nurses, supervisors, and future managers).

• Actively participate in hospital committees and foster effective communication across teams.

• Drive quality improvement and performance initiatives to strengthen patient outcomes.

• Build strong relationships with physicians, staff, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Active RN license (state of practice or Compact)

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Surgical Services (Manager level or higher)

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration

• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room)

• CSSM (Certified Surgical Services Manager)
