We are seeking a high-performing Director of Sales to lead and scale our wholesale sales strategy across Massachusetts and New Jersey, with a strong focus on growing our B2B product and service segments.

This position will drive regional sales growth by overseeing finished goods and white-label offerings across both markets, while leading and mentoring a cross-functional sales team. The ideal candidate is an experienced cannabis sales leader with a proven track record of driving revenue, developing high-performing teams, and building strong industry relationships in multiple states.
Job Duties:
Drive the successful sales and expansion of our B2B service offerings-including white labeling and packaging services-for brands, retailers, and operators across MA and NJ
Lead the sales of our branded wholesale products (e.g., flower, pre-rolls, and other cannabis products) across multiple markets
Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics tailored to each market and service offering
Leverage existing relationships and cultivate new ones with cannabis decision-makers in both MA and NJ
Prospect and generate new business opportunities to accelerate the sales pipeline
Oversee sales logistics, CRM reporting, forecasting, and customer relations
Build, mentor, and lead a sales and account management team across both states
Drive profitability and growth in accordance with company goals and values
Establish and manage multi-market sales plans, revenue goals, and performance KPIs
Track market trends, pricing shifts, and the competitive landscape in both regions
Provide monthly projections and insights to inform supply planning and budget allocation
Conduct regular field visits and maintain strong on-the-ground visibility in both markets
Attend regional trade and industry events to build brand awareness and customer acquisition
Communicate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Production, Compliance, and Finance teams to align on business objectives
Perform duties in a consultative capacity, offering strategic insight and recommendations to internal stakeholders

Skills & Attributes:
Proven cannabis industry sales expertise, with natural selling and leadership abilities
Ability to drive territory-specific sales strategies while maintaining consistency across regions
Strong negotiation, presentation, and strategic planning skills
Business acumen to articulate product and service differentiation in competitive markets
Agile and solutions-oriented with strong prioritization and multitasking skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
High emotional intelligence and team development capabilities
Deep understanding of regulatory, market, and category trends in MA and NJ
Proficiency in Excel, CRM platforms, and sales tracking tools
Comfortable with cold outreach and relationship cultivation
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including C-suite-level reporting
Experience & Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field required
6+ years of value-driven sales experience required
4+ years in cannabis B2B sales, including experience in wholesale and white-label services
Director-level or higher experience building and leading regional or multi-state cannabis sales teams
Established industry relationships in Massachusetts required; New Jersey cannabis experience strongly preferred
Proven success in managing teams, territories, and multi-state expansion in a startup or high-growth environment
