Director of Public Safety Franklin Township Police Department Franklin Township (Somerset County), New Jersey Centrally located at the crossroads of Middlesex, Mercer, and Somerset County, New Jersey, Franklin Township features an idyllic mix of farms, historic homes, nearly a dozen schools, and a thriving economic development initiative. With a large cross-section of all socioeconomic classes, cultures and religions within its borders, the ideal candidate for Franklin Township Public Safety Director will be a progressive leader with a demonstrated history of working with populations from all walks of life. Candidates must possess a minimum of six (6) years executive level experience in a Municipal, County, State or Federal law enforcement agency. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major/concentration in Police Science, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or a closely related field is preferred. Specialized education/certification such as completion of the FBI National Academy, New Jersey Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership and/or Northeastern University Community and Leadership preferred. Salary range is dependent upon qualification and experience.
