What will you be doing:
The Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for critical service functions within a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) environment at Integrated Home Care Services (IHCS) in Florida and Clinical Medical Services (CMS) operations in Puerto Rico. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely intake of service requests, appropriate utilization management process that is compliant with turnaround times and health plan / CMS guidelines, staffing assessments, streamlining operations/ communications required in UM and service delivery processes, verification of home health start of care (SOC), confirmation of durable medical equipment (DME) delivery, and customer escalations and resolutions. The Director also plays a pivotal role in new client implementations, improving operational efficiencies, coordinating project deliverables with PMO and business management operations, implementing new solutions and projects, leading operational onboarding and ensuring all associated requirements are executed efficiently and in alignment with client expectations.
What will you come with:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of operations leadership experience in healthcare, managed care, or TPA environment
- Experience with client implementation and operational onboarding strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of utilization management, medical necessity criteria, and regulatory compliance (e.g., CMS, NCQA, URAC).
- Skilled in workflow design, metric tracking, and performance improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, data dashboards. (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
